THE JOURNEY STARTS HERE

Unexpected stops, breakdowns on the side of the road and good people who won't leave you stranded are what make a road trip in an old Mustang special. I named this one Alice. She's a firecracker!

I've learned that the best memories are made when life doesn't follow the plan. Not everybody would agree. But when I drove from Beijing to Paris in a 2010 rally in a 1939 Chevy Speedster that had no business being on that trip nothing went to plan. It was great! The car caught fire twice not long after the fire extinguisher exploded. The axle broke in the middle of nowhere. Mongolia was hard on both the car and me. I've never been a quitter though so I overcame all those obstacles and whole lot more. Despite it all, we made it to the finish line with 83 other cars in Paris.
